Getting to the Churchill
The Hyatt Churchill is easy to find, situated on Portman Square, just North of Oxford Street. On arrival at the hotel, check-in at the main desk or, if you have diamond status, proceed to the 8th floor club lounge for check-in. If anyone has flights into Gatwick and would like advice about how best to reach the hotel, please email us.
From Heathrow
We would recommend using Chauffeured Service, who offer executive transfers (Mercedes E Class), excellent service and safe drivers (ex police). For the event, we have negotiated a special rate of £162 return - much more comfortable than a London Cab and no more expensive. To book, call 0044 3335770000 or email [email protected].
Alternatively, the Heathrow Express offers a quick journey by train from Heathrow to Paddington Rail station, from where a taxi costs around £10 to the hotel. One-way tickets cost £21, although the price can be lowered if buying a return or as a couple (use code DUO2 for a return for 2 passengers for £50). The Heathrow Connect is a cheaper, slower service also to Paddington station.
At £5.70 (less with an Oyster card) the cheapest option from Heathrow is to take the Piccaddilly line (underground) to Green Park and then change to the Jubilee line to Bond Street. The hotel is around 10 minutes walk from Bond Street. Note that London Underground stations are deep and escalators don't always work. We wouldn't recommend using this mode of transport with luggage.
From London City Airport
Using public transport, take the Docklands Light Railway to Bank. From here, change to the Central Line and alight at Marble Arch - a short walk to the hotel. This should cost £4.70 (less with an Oyster card). Note, changing at Bank may not be easy with luggage.
Booking a Mercedes E-class using Addison Lee works out at £49.50 one way from London City Airport (the standard car is £41.40).
Around London
Travelling by underground or taxi is easy, as is walking. For longer journeys within town, Addison Lee is a good bet.
